The classic Sudoku game comprises of a grid of 81 squares. The grid is distributed into nine blocks, each containing nine squares.

Pencil is, of course, easy to delete in a hurry once you find the solution—or realize you made a error. Your pencil won't help you find the missing number in this puzzle.

What are Naked Single Candidates?

Every Sudoku puzzle will have cells that have only one feasible candidate. If there aren't any additional candidates showing, Sudoku players call this as a naked single.

Every naked single permits us to safely exclude that number from all other cells in the row, column, and region that the naked single lies in. The logic is simple. If there is one cell that contains a single candidate, then that candidate is the solution for that cell.
